FORDYCE — Green Forest advanced to the Class 3A girls basketball champioship game with a 38-30 win over Jessieville in semifinal action.
Nikki Mullen led Green Forest with 15 points while Carson Lamb’s 15 points paced Jessieville.
Green Forest broke a 16-16 tie at halftime by ooutscoring Jessieville 9-5 in the third period and 13-8 in the final stanza to claim a spot in this week’s 3A finals at the Summit in Hot Springs.
Greenland 54, Arkansas Baptist 30
Greenland jumped out to a 17-5 lead in the first period and led 27-17 at the intermission to set up this week’s showdown with Green Forest in the 3A finals.
Ashley Hipps led Greenland with 12 pointsw while Holland Cruise followed with 11.
Kayla Byrd led Arkansas Baptist with 15.
Earle 54, Harding Academy 30
In boys action Earle disposed of Harding Academy to advance to the title game in Hot Springs.
Harding Academy led 16-14 after the opening frame and 31-30 at the half before being outscored 12-9 in the third and 27-19 in the fourth.
Dequane Willford led Earle with 19 points, Autrey Allen had 17 and Carlton Mitchell 16.
Will Francis led Harding Academy with 18 points, Locke Adair added 14 and Tom Gould 12.
Charleston 56, Prescott 47
Charleston won the late game to set up the 3A finals against Prescott.
The two battled to a 10-10 tie at the end of the first period and were deadlocked at 25 at the half. Charleston outscored Prescott 16-12 in the third frame and 15-10 in the fourth.
Jesse Crosswhite led Charleston with 17 points, Seth McCann added 16 and Robbie Raggio 14.
Treron Gulley led Prescott with 11 points while Timmy Marks and Cody Woodley added 10 each.
Schedules for all state tournament games will be decided today at 2 p.m.
