Arkansas Boom, a softball team based out of Sheridan, won the Class C USSSA 12-under Arkansas State Fastpitch Softball Tournament held Friday-Sunday in Russellville at Pleasant View Softball Complex. Throughout the tournament the team boasted a 5-0 record with wins over Magic Softball (2-1), Girl Power (4-3), Arkansas Pride (6-5), and Maumelle Diamonds (4-0 and 6-4). The team will travel to Gulf Shores July 24-29 to compete in the USSSA World Series Fastpitch Tournament.
