The Mighty Bluebirds 13AA baseball team won the USSSA World Series and Arkansas AA state championships. The team finished the season ranked sixth nationally out of 2,453 teams and won eight consecutive games to win the World Series in Grand Prairie, Texas. Bernard Black of Pine Bluff was named the MVP of the state tournament, in which the Bluebirds won seven straight games.
