Romar Reades rushed for four touchdowns as the Jack Roby ninth-grade team beat Lake Hamilton 36-0 on Thursday.
Reades scored on Jack Roby’s first play of the game on a 55-yard run and added a one-yard score on the team’s next possession for a 12-0 lead. Reades second score was set up by a 41-yard run by quarterback Ladarius Skeleton.
Reades scored again in the first quarter on a 3-yard touchdown run and Skeleton added the two-point conversion for a 20-0 lead.
In the second quarter, Reades scored from 17-yards out and added the two-point conversion. David Beasley ended the half with an interception.
Jack Roby’s final score game in the fourth quarter when Skeleton hit Beasley for an 80-yard touchdown pass. Skeleton was 1 of 2 for 80 yards passing.
Reades finished with 109 yards on eight carries in the game.
The Jack Roby ninth graders play against following the eighth grade game on Thursday at Jordan Stadium against North Little Rock.
Star City 16, Dollarway 0
STAR CITY — The Bulldogs scored on a 40-yard pass in the second quarter and returned a fumble 30 yards for another touchdown in the third quarter, shutting out the Cardinals.
Star City converted a two-point conversion after each touchdown.
Markel Scott ran for 90 yards to lead Dollarway (0-1), which is off next week and will play at Newport on Sept. 13.
White Hall 36, Arkansas Baptist 14
WHITE HALL — The White Hall ninth grade team beat Arkansas Baptist 36-14 thanks to four rushing touchdowns in the game.
Dylan Cantwell scored the first two touchdowns before Bailey Smith added the third one.
Kade Canada later scored on a two-yard quarterback sneak and White Hall’s last touchdown came on Javen Tidwell’s interception return.
White Hall plays at 7 p.m. on Thursday at Hot Springs.
Jack Roby 6, Lake Hamilton 0
Jamonta Brock provided the only score of the game on a 63-yard fumble recovery to give Jack Roby a 6-0 win over Lake Hamilton on Thursday.
Jack Roby plays again at 5:30 p.m. next Thursday at Jordan Stadium against Ridge Road.
Ridgway Christian’s junior and senior high scrimmages against Arkansas School for the Deaf was postponed until 5 p.m. Oct. 2 and it will be a regular game instead of a scrimmage.
The game was postponed due to the weather.
