Arkansas-Pine Bluff defeated Alcorn State 50-46 on Tuesday. Rollins did not play. UAPB is now 12-17 on the year and advanced to the quarterfinals of the SWAC tournament to face Southern University.

On February 28, UAPB defeated Mississippi Valley State 78-70 in overtime in its final game of the season. Broughton scored eight points on 2 of 5 shooting including 4 of 8 at the free throw line. He also had eight rebounds. UAPB was banned from the postseason.

Delta State lost 68-57 to Alabama-Huntsville in the SWAC Tournament on March 9. Chaney scored five points including 3 of 4 from the free throw line. She also had two rebounds. Delta State will face the University of North Alabama in the NCAA South Region WBB Tournament at Fort Lauderdale, Fla. on March 15.

Alabama A&M lost 52-45 to Jackson State on March 2. Richardson did not play. A&M will play Mississippi Valley State today at 9 a.m. in the SWAC Tournament in Garland, Texas.
RYAN DARDENNE

Southern Arkansas (16-8) defeated Henderson State (13-9) 6-1 on March 9. Dardenne was 1 of 2 with a RBI, a run scored and a walk. In 23 games this season, Dardenne is batting .325 (26 of 80) with two home runs and 18 RBIs, four doubles and eight walks.

Barr pitched an inning of relief in Tuesday’s win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff. In five appearances this season, Barr is 2-0 with a 1.17 ERA. He has pitched 7 2/3 innings, allowing one run (earned) on four hits with a walk and nine strikeouts. UCA is 14-2 on the season, including an 11-0 record at home.
