EL DORADO — Three-time defending champion El Dorado kept its winning streak against Sheridan alive as the Wildcats had a 41-0 lead by halftime in a 47-13 win over the Yellowjackets on Friday.
El Dorado has not lost to Sheridan since the two teams became 7A/6A South conference foes in 1991.
El Dorado (3-2) had three touchdowns in the first quarter alone and added three touchdown runs in the second quarter to build the 41-0 lead at half.
The third quarter was silent and Dylan Flores got Sheridan (1-4) on the board with 11:01 left in the fourth quarter on 1-yard touchdown run.
Sheridan ended the game when Jordan Smith hit Dylan Perdue with 26-yard touchdown pass to end the game 47-13.
El Dorado racked up 482 yards of total offense, 320 of which came on the ground.
For Sheridan, Flores finished the game 9-of-15 passing for 167 yards and the Yellowjackets were held to 44 total yards rushing.
