Richardson nets 27; Fillies remain unbeaten

It’s no secret Ajia Richardson makes Pine Bluff go on the basketball court.

The junior point guard finished with 27 points Thursday in leading the Fillies to a 68-55 win over Little Rock Christian in the Southeast Arkansas Invitational. Pine Bluff also improved to 3-0 with the victory.

“It was an up-tempo game,” Fillies coach Loy Moore said. “Little Rock Christian likes to get out and run, and we like to get out and run. There were a lot of open shots with both teams pushing the ball up the floor.”

Victoria Broady added 13 points for the Fillies, who led 26-21 at halftime.

Pine Bluff will wrap up the Invitational with a game against Dumas at 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
