EL DORADO — The El Dorado Wildcats had two big innings as they defeated Pine Bluff 14-4 in six innings on Friday night.
El Dorado scored five runs in the second and four runs in the fourth. They also scored two in the first, two in the fifth and one in the bottom of the sixth inning.
Aaron McDonald is tagged with the loss for the Zebras as he allowed six runs (all earned) on four hits in just 1 1/3 innings. He also walked four and struck out none.
J’Marlos Johnson pitched 1 2/3 and allowed four runs (all earned) on four hits with three walks and no strikeouts. Gealander Harris pitched two innings, allowing four runs (three earned) on five hits with three walks and one strikeout.
For El Dorado, Jamie Nesbit takes the win, allowing four runs (all earned) on six hits with four walks and five strikeouts. Caleb Stutts pitched 1 2/3 innings and allowed just one hit with a walk and four strikeouts.
Pine Bluff scored all four of its runs in the top of the fifth inning.
Junior Adam Graham led Pine Bluff at the plate, finishing 2 for 3 with a run and one RBI. Johnson was 1 for 1 with two walks and two RBIs.
Walter Ashley was 1 for 2 with a run scored. For El Dorado, Eli Lester was 3 for 4 with two runs and a RBI. Ty Owens was 2 for 2 with three runs and four RBIs. He also had three walks.
