Junior High Roundup: Wildcats blank Falcons, 36-0

LITTLE ROCK — The Watson Chapel defense held North Pulaski to just 32 yards of total offense as the Wildcats won 36-0 Thursday in junior high football.

Michael Williams scored two touchdowns. He had a 7-yard touchdown on the first drive of the game and he scored again in the second quarter to give Watson Chapel a 22-0 lead.

Davion White had a 9-yard touchdown run in the first quarter and Ja’Kobi Jackson had a 7-yard touchdown run in the second quarter to give the Wildcats a 30-0 lead before halftime.

Chapel’s only score in the second half was a 30-yard touchdown run by Corey Hawkins to make it 36-0.

Chapel had 229 yards on the ground and just 11 yards passing.

Chapel (2-0) will host River City Conference opponent Jacksonville on Thursday.

White Hall 24, Hot Springs 20

WHITE HALL — Garrett Blaylock got the game started for White Hall with a kickoff return for a touchdown, but it took a late touchdown pass and interception to secure the Bulldogs’ victory.

The Bulldogs (2-0) drove about 70 yards on their winning drive. Blaylock connected with Chase Bryan for about a 20-yard pass with 51 seconds left to put White Hall back in front.

Hot Springs (0-2) then drove to the White Hall 30, but Jon Speer made an interception to secure the win.

Blaylock also ran for a touchdown from 2 yards out and scored a two-point conversion after his kickoff return to give White Hall a 16-0 lead.

LR McClellan 20, Dollarway 0

At Dollarway, Little Rock McClellan scored in the first, third and fourth quarters to hand Dollarway its second straight loss.

McClellan scored in the first quarter with 3:20 left to make it 8-0 and scored again in third with 1:20 left to make it 14-0. On the last play of the game, McClellan scored on a Hail Mary attempt to defeat Dollarway 20-0.

Dollarway (0-2) was led by Dionte Wilson, who had eight carries for 42 yards and was 1 for 5 passing with one interception. Anthony Scott had four carries for nine yards and Devontae Brown had four carries for 15 yards. Brown was also 2 for 3 passing for 32 yards.

Demetrius Johnson had five carries for 39 yards and Jaylon Swift had two carries for four yards for the Cards.

North Little Rock 30, Jack Robey 16

NORTH LITTLE ROCK — Isaiah Washington was 6 of 16 for 136 yards and two touchdowns, but Jack Robey fell 30-16 to North Little Rock on Thursday night.

Xavier Smith had three catches for 78 yards with the two touchdowns. Jaamonte Brock had a two-point conversion and Washington also had a two-point conversion.

Eddie Bell had an interception.

Jack Robey (0-2) will host Little Rock Hall next Thursday.

In the eighth-grade game, Robey beat North Little Rock Ridgeroad 36-6 to improve to 1-1. Kendrick Thorn, Kendrick Williams, DeAndre Ellison and Henry Arnold each had a touchdown run, Kadarius Baggett returned an interception for a touchdown, and Antonio Snow and Thorn each added a pick for the Colts.
