Jack Robey rolls from start to finish


David Beasley took the opening kickoff 70 yards for a touchdown and Jack Robey did not look back in a 38-6 win over Helena-West Helena Central in a junior high game on Thursday at Jordan Stadium.

On Jack Robey’s (4-0) next possession, Romar Reades scored on an 11-yard touchdown run and added a four-yard run when Jack Robey had the ball next for a 24-0 lead. Reades scored the two-point conversions for all three touchdowns.

Reades added a 36-yard touchdown in the second quarter and Ladarius Skelton scored the two-point conversion.

Deangelo Conner recovered a fumble for Jack Robey and scored on the ensuing possession for a 38-0 lead at halftime.

Reades rushed for 83 yards on seven carries.

Jack Robey plays at 6 p.m. Thursday at Little Rock McClellan.

Dollarway 26, Marianna Lee 14

Kacy Higgins hit Cameron Girley a 40-yard touchdown on the first play of the game as Dollarway beat Marianna Lee 26-14 on Thursday at home.

On Dollarway’s (2-1, 2-0 in 2-4A Conference) next possession, Higgins hit Kendrick Hunter for a 53-yard touchdown and a 12-0 lead.

Markel Scott put Dollarway up 20-0 with a 53-yard touchdown run in the third quarter and Paris Hicks added 45-yard interception return for the Cardinals’ final score.

Hunter finished with 173 all-purpose yards.

Dollarway plays at 6 p.m. Thursday at Clinton.

Watson Chapel 48, Little Rock Mills 14

Trayvarious Cole scored four touchdowns and Watson Chapel had a 40-0 lead at halftime in a 48-14 win over Little Rock Mills on Thursday at home.

Cole scored every time he touched the ball and he had one two-point conversion. His first score was a 40-yard run on the first play of the game. Three of his scores were on the ground and the other was a 41-yard touchdown reception from Simeon Blair, who passed for 44 yards and rushed for 35.

Trayvion Woods added an 8-yard touchdown and had three two-point conversions.

Andrew Wiley also had an 8-yard touchdown and Terrance Bradley had a two-point conversion.

Watson Chapel’s (4-0, 3-0 in the River City Conference) starting defense held Little Rock Mills scoreless and to less than 75 yards of total offense at halftime.

Maumelle beat White Hall 12-0.
