Responding to Hansen’s letters on SEALs

Karl Hansen and I will have to agree to disagree on our opinions as to what happened in Benghazi. First Mr. Hansen offers a correction in that the Navy SEALs were not Navy SEALs. They were ex-Navy SEALs fighting to save lives. This oversight comes from my background as a Marine. Once the title is earned there is no such thing as an ex-Marine. We are sworn to live and die by the creed of Semper Fidelis. Translated Mr. Hansen that means “Always Faithful”.

My greatest disappointment in Mr. Hansen’s response is his playing the race card alleging I attribute President Obama’s failure to respond to requests for help based on his skin color. Those who really know me know that I am in complete agreement with Dr. Martin Luther King on the subject of skin color.

What truly disappoints me is the lack of intellect failing to be ready to support an American ambassador and his staff located in a breeding ground for terrorism on the anniversary of September 11 when our nation was attacked by terrorists. Picking “nits” referring to Americans who were brave patriots fighting to save lives of fellow Americans and refusing to respond to their calls for help by calling them ex-Navy SEALs in lieu of Navy SEALs doesn’t cut it with me.

Are we our brother’s keeper? If so, won’t actions always speak louder than words?

Can I get an Amen?
