Not enough recognition for substitutes, staff

I have worked for the Pine Bluff School District for many years as a substitute cook. Every year, when the school district hands out bonuses to its employees, we do not receive anything. There has not been a raise for substitutes for as long as I can remember.

This is not just a problem with substitutes however. Many of the classified staff are making under $9 an hour after working 20 years for the district. How is this right?

I ask that the community and school district to support the people that cook for the children, clean the buildings, drive the buses and supervise the children when teachers are out sick.
