Funeral services for Woodroe (Buddy Red) Walker, 88, of Pine Bluff, passed November 06, at his home, will be held Saturday 11 a.m. Rose Hill MBC, 2121 W. 26th Ave., Rev. George Waters Jr. presiding pastor, Rev Anthony Walker officiating.
He was born July 02, 1924 at Ladd, Ark, son of the late Mannie and Rachel Walker. He was a Baptist, he was a World War II veteran, he worked at the Pine Bluff Arsenal for 42 years.
Survivors in include five sons, Woodroe (Christine) Walker of San Diego, Calif., Elbert (Mary) Walker, Pine Bluff, Lonzo (Mildred) Jackson, Kansas City, Mo., Quinn Dodds of Little Rock, Kim Dodds of Pine Bluff; six daughters, Dorothy (Leroy) Freeman of Dumas, Willora (James) Scott of Pine Bluff, Margie (Jessie) Webb of Dumas, Bessie Walker of Pine Bluff, Pamela (Sylvester) Okpala of Washington, D.C., Dorothy Ann Johnson (Perry) of Pine Bluff: Three nieces, Earlean Spicer, Pine Bluff, Marzell Carr, Luster , Calif., Maple Arnold of Richmond, Calif.; one nephew, T.R. Reynolds of N.C., 51 grandchildren; 81 great-grandchildren; 41 great-great-grandchildren, cousins.
Visitation may be made Friday 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery Veteran section.
