BATON ROUGE, La. — Mr. William I. “Bill” “Pop” Dawson, a native of Pine Bluff, Ark., passed away at his home in Baton Rouge, La. surrounded by his family on Sunday March 10, 2013 at the age of 76. Funeral Service will be at Ralph Robinson Funeral Home on Friday, March 15, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Dawson; daughter, Melissa Meisenbacher; step daughter, Pam Matheny and husband Mark Matheny; sons, William I. “Billy” Dawson, Jr. and wife Karen Dawson, Charles C. Dawson and wife Kelli; Step sons, Charles A Dawson and wife Trudy and Steve Dawson and wife Danielle. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Bill had two Masters in Education and one in Theology; he was a Deacon and sang in the Choir at Parkview Baptist Church as well as an honored coach of the year in Arkansas for several years. He will be deeply missed by Parkview Baptist Church and was devoted to Parkview Baptist School. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association 2644 S. Sherwood Forest Suite 108 Baton Rouge, LA 70816.
