MAYFLOWER — Wilbert Burr, 84 of Mayflower died Wednesday at his home. He was born May 27, 1928 in Star City to the late Thomas Alfred and Lizzie Mae Hamilton Burr. He was a Navy Veteran, member of the American Legion and was the owner of Metal Storage Equipment and Installation and had been a metal worker for 20 years.
Besides his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife; Virginia “Ginny” Lee Burr. Also, a step-son; Ken Cole (Chris) of South Bend, Ind.
Survivors include one son; James Alfred Burr (Bunny) of Van Buren, one step-daughter, Delana Lynch (Mike) of Collierville, Tenn., one sister; Irene Sanders of Star City, three step-sisters; Becky Houser, Nancy Burr and Lorene Rouch, two grandchildren; Jeff Burr and Stacy Thacker (Tommy), three great-grandchildren; Jacob, Dawn and Ashley Thacker and four step-grandchildren; Carl Cole (Bekah), Jeff Cole, Lori Eubank (Bill) and Mark Lynch.
Graveside Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Mt. Home Cemetery near Star City. Bro. Preston Kelso will officiate. Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. Saturday until service time.
