Vera Royse Bussell, 74, of Pine Bluff, died Monday, November 5, 2012.
She was born May 19, 1938 in Pine Bluff, daughter of Carl and Lillie Bell George.
Vera was reared and received her early education in Pine Bluff, graduating from Pine Bluff High School.
She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
Vera worked as a cook for Trinity Village Medical Center for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Bussell, whom she married March 9, 1962 in Pine Bluff; her parents; two brothers, Fred and John Carl Royse; and two sisters, Francis Bradsher and Lucille Brooks.
Survivors include her son, James Edward Bussell of Pine Bluff; two daughters, Marilyn Bussell of Seattle, Wash. and Marsha Ann Stovall of White Hall; three brothers, Richard Royse of Pine Bluff, Sammy Royse of Sheridan and James Royse of Orange County, Calif.; three sisters, Laverne Saxton of Grand Prairie, Texas, Betty Cross of Phoenix, Ariz. and Emma Faye of Hobbs, N.M.; and one granddaughter, Brittany Stovall of White Hall.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 9, 2012 in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Rev. M.L. Faler officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday evening at Robinson’s.
The family would like to thank Vera’s caregiver, Beverly Clark, for her many years of loving care.
