Timothy Roig


Timothy Allen ‘Tim’ Roig, 69 , of Pine Bluff, went to be with the Lord Monday, September 10, 2012. He was born January 8, 1943 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Donald F. and Florence Ingraham Roig. He lived and received his education in Orlando, Fla. before going into the military. Tim served in the United States Coast Guard where he was a MKC Chief Petty Officer when he retired in 1981. After retiring from the Coast Guard, Tim worked at the Arkansas Highway Department and then for Entergy for 17 years. Tim was a member of South Side Baptist Church. Tim was a member of the Christian Motorcycle Ministry. He loved his family very much, spending time with his baby girl, Prissy, fishing, riding his motorcycle, and helping others. Most of all he was a loving husband, daddy, grandfather, brother, and friend. Tim had a great sense of humor and never gave it up. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Brayden Cranford.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Roig, whom he married April 5, 1965; son, Don (Kim) Roig of Pine Bluff; daughters, Betty (Chris) Ward and Paula (Brian) Cranford all of Sheridan; his Sheltie, Prissy; three grandchildren, Joseph (Randi) Haley of Magnolia, Justin Haley and Peyton Cranford both of Sheridan; brothers, Gary Roig of Pine Bluff and Dennis (Vicki) Roig of Sturgeon Bay, Wis.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Cranford Funeral Home of White Hall with Reverand Richard Couch officiating. Burial will be in the State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock at 12 noon Thursday.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
