HATTIESBURG, Miss. — Thomas Eric “Tom” Bradley, Jr., 66, of Hattiesburg, Miss., died Tuesday, August 6, 2013. A Pine Bluff native, born June 21, 1947, the son of the late Thomas Eric and Margaret Payne Bradley, Tom grew up in Pine Bluff, playing varsity football and graduating from Pine Bluff High School in 1965.
After attending Southern Arkansas University he returned to Pine Bluff where he joined the Pine Bluff Police Department, serving there for several years. Tom also served in the Arkansas and Mississippi Army National Guard, retiring as a Master Sergeant (E-7) after thirty-two years.
Beginning a new career, Tom founded Bradley Medical, a medical equipment provider. His company merged with Primm Medical in Pine Bluff. Later with United Medical, Tom moved to his new home in Southaven, Miss., where he was the regional manager. After a short retirement, Tom joined St. Jude Hospice, in Southaven. Most recently he had moved to Hattiesburg, Miss. to serve as administrative director for St. Joseph Hospice.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Ray Bradley, who he married September 1, 1967; twins, Brian Bradley of Walls, Miss. and Tracy Bradley Pyron (Greg) of Bartlett, Tenn.; son, Chris Bradley (Jennifer) of Southaven, Miss.; sister, Ann Middleton of Darlington, S.C.; and grandchildren, Allyson Bradley, Bradley Pyron, Brittany Bradley, Kayce Bradley, Hayley Pyron, and Joshua Bradley. A son, Darrell Wayne Bradley, also preceded him in death.
Services are Monday, August 12 at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son in Pine Bluff with Reverend Edward Middleton officiating. Committal follows in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday from 3-5 p.m. at Robinson’s.
