MITCHELLVILLE — Mrs. Thelma McKinzie, 87, of Mitchellville died Friday, August 10, 2012 at Delta Memorial Hospital.
Born December 12, 1924 in New Madrid, Mo., she was a daughter of the late Minor Moore and Emma Collins Moore. She was a member of St. John M.B.C. in Mitchellville serving on the Mission Board, choir and a home maker.
Survivors include ten sons, Robert Williams of Mitchellville, Henry Williams, Jr. of Dumas, Tommie Williams, Sr. of Little Rock, Ronnie Williams of Chicago, Richard Williams, Sr. of Lansing, Mich., Glen Jackson of Little Rock, Michael McKinzie of Dewitt, Roy McKinzie, Ronnie McKinzie of Dumas, Derrick McKinzie of Pine Bluff; eight daughters, Theatrice Verser of Lansing, Mich., Thelma Jackson of Romance, Ark., Henrietta Williams, Joann Steverson, Patricia Baker, Alanderia McKinzie, Lillie McKinzie all of Dumas, Elnora McKinzie of West Memphis, Ark.; one sister, Lue Jarrett of South Bend, Ind.; 28 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 18, 2012 at Dumas Community Center with Rev. Johnny Smith, Jr. officiating. Burial in Curtis Hall Cemetery at Pickens by Brown Funeral Home of Dumas.
Visitation will be from 4-5 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Family hour is scheduled from 5-6 p.m.
The body will lie in state at the Community Center Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services.
