Terence (Terry) Victor Freeman, 45, of Pine Bluff departed his life on November 26, 2012. He was born September 18, 1967 to the late Rev. William and Freddie Mae Freeman in Dermott, Ark.
Memorial services will be held from 6-7 p.m. on Friday, November 30, 2012 at Grace MB Temple, 909 Wisconsin, Pine Bluff. The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Antioch MB Church, 1110 N. Alma, Dermott, Ark., Rev. Ameelio P. Howard will be officiating. Interment will be in the Little Zion Cemetary and the arrangements are being handled by Davis Strickland Funeral Home of Dermott, Ark.
Terry, as he was known, confessed a hope in Christ at an early age at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. J.R. Littleton and he later became a member of the Grace Temple Missionary Baptist Church, where he was active in the Music and Brotherhood Ministries. He graduated from Dermott High and later served in the U.S. Army for eight years where he received an honorable discharge. He worked for the Arkansas Department of Correction for many years. On September 13, 1996 he married the former Jeanetta Jones. He was prededed in death by his parents and his stepson, Carl Douglas McCree, Jr.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jeanetta Freeman, a daughter and son-in-law, JaLeisa and Mario Jones of St. Louis, Mo., two grandchildren, Jason and Mario, two adopted children, DeJon (Kasey) Butler of Monticello, Ark., and Cedric Smith of Jackson, Miss., two brothers Charles (Pat) Freeman and William (Bertha) Freeman of Dermott, Ark., two sisters, Naomi Martin and Helen King of Dermott, Ark., his grandmother, Carrie Smith of Dermott, Ark., his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Theodis and Sharon Jones and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and friends.
