Mr. James Sterlin Goldman, 83, a resident of Pine Bluff, died Thursday, May 2, 2013, at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Hospital in Little Rock.
Born December 8, 1929, in Grant County Arkansas, he was a son of James Dudley and Fronia Smith Goldman.
Mr. Goldman was reared and received his early education in Grant County. He was a graduate of Watson Chapel High School. He was married for over 60 years to Betty McCarty. Mr. Goldman was a press operator for Perdue Printing Company for over 40 years. He was a Jehovahs Witness. Mr. Goldman enjoyed gardening and working with honey bees.
Mr. Goldman was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty McCarty Goldman; five sisters, Bertha West, Marie Clement, Doris Petty, Dorothy Smithey, and Emogene Vaught; two brothers, Harold Dean and Charles Goldman.
Survivors include one sister, Rubetty Copeland of Pine Bluff, and many nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation but Mr. Goldman will lie in state at Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors Saturday morning.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 4, 2013, in Providence Cemetery with Brother Donny Randle officiating. Burial will follow by Ralph Robinson & Son.
