Rutheline Riesenberg, age 96, of Pine Bluff, died Saturday, November 3, 2012, at the White Hall Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Riesenberg was born September 19, 1916, in Malvern, a daughter of the late Hugh R. and Beatrice Baggett Rogers.
Mrs. Riesenberg moved to Pine Bluff as a young child and attended the Pine Bluff schools. She worked on airplane motors at Grider Field during World War II. She later Co-owned operated, with her husband, Riesenberg’s Grocery and Salvage for forty years.
She was a member of Greenlee Baptist Church.
Mrs. Riesenberg was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Otto A. Riesenberg, a son, Herman Leon Riesenberg; two sisters, Lucille Halverson and Beatrice Fry.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Lou Garner (Lloyd) and Joyce Lynn Quandt (Ted), both of Pine Bluff; brother, Joe E. Rogers of Pine Bluff; sister, Betty Wilson, of Pine Bluff; three grandchildren, Jeff Garner (Terri), Greg Garner (Sharon) and Sherry Spurlock (Ronnie); seven great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Monday, November 5, 2012, in Graceland Cemetery by Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors with Reverend James Watson officiating. The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Sunday evening at Robinson’s.
