Ronald Conway

Brother Ronald D. Conway was born September 21, 1957, in Texarkana, Texas. He was the son of Ms. Othella Conway and Mr. Cleo Callahan. On Thursday, November 29, 2012, Ronald transitioned into Eternity. Ronald was a member of the College Heights Church of Christ where he served as Educational Director and financial secretary until his health failed him.

He was a graduate of Arkansas High School and continued his education at Prairie View A&M University where he received a degree in Civil Engineering.

He was employed at the International Paper Company in Camden for 22 years. After their closing, he relocated to Pine Bluff and gained employment with the Evergreen Packing Company for 11 years as a Foreman.

Ronald learned the importance of working hard, helping others, enjoying life and most importantly, putting God and family first.

Ronald leaves to cherish his memory: his wife of 33 years, Vanessa Trotter Conway, two daughters; Tanyaka Conway of Texarkana, Ark. and Derrica Conway of Fayetteville, Ark., two grandchildren; Diamond and Donavon “DJ” Holmes, both of Texarkana, Ark., his Mother and Step-father Ms. Othella and Uriel Cannon of Texarkana, Texas; one sister, Pamela (Mark) Morrison of Harleysville, Penn.; one brother, Bernard (Josie) Cannon of Texarkana, Texas, his aunt, Opalene (Harold) Martin of Chicago, Ill., his in-laws Jerry (Jean) Trotter of McNab, Arkansas , Ed (Ethel) Trotter of Texarkana, Ark., James “Bo Peep” Trotter of McNab, Ark., Ricky Trotter of Texarkana, Ark., Kelvin (Pam) Trotter of Wilmington, N.C., and Tracey Smiley of Texarkana, Ark.; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and the College Heights Church of Christ family.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday, December 7, 2012, at the College Heights Church of Christ, 1313 North Magnolia, in Pine Bluff, Ark.

The funeral will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, December 8, 2012 at the Twin City Church of Christ, 500 Kirby Street in Texarkana, Ark.

Mr. Conway will lie in repose at the church from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at the East Memorial Garden in Texarkana, Ark.
