Reginald Conner

Reginald Gearld (Skip) Conner, was born October 26, 1954, in Pine Bluff, Ark. to Lorine Smith Fox and Lizzie Conner. He was also reared by a devoted stepfather, Mr. Joseph Fox, Jr., who preceded him in death. He was a 1973 graduate of Pine Bluff High School.

He confessed a hope in Christ an early age at the New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the Rev. Curlee Thomas. He was united in holy matrimony to Diane Manning Conner. To this union were born Vanessa and Akira Conner. Later, he married Naomi Webb Conner and she preceded him in death.

He worked at Western Sizzling and Bonanza for over 20 years. Brother Conner departed this life, Friday, July 27, 2012 at the Jefferson Regional Medical Center.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Lorine Smith Fox; two daughters, Vanessa Conner (Michael) Williams, and Akira Conner, both of Pine Bluff, Ark.; one stepdaughter, Tonya Webb, of North Little Rock, Ark.; three sisters, Pattie Marie Fox Taylor, Patricia Fox (Larry) Amos, and Sharon Kay Johnson; two brothers, Ronald Ray (Dorothy) Fox, Wayne (Wilma) Fox; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild; a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, August 4, 2012, at P.K. Miller Mortuary with the Rev. William Jarmon officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery by the P.K. Miller Mortuary.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Friday, August 3, 2012, at the mortuary. Family hour will be from 6-7 p.m.
