Rebecca Virginia Spadoni, 60, of Pine Bluff, Ark., died Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
She was born June 17, 1952, in Pine Bluff to Joseph Louis Spadoni, Sr., and Elva Jean Smith Spadoni.
She was reared and educated in Pine Bluff graduating from Pine Bluff High School in 1970.
Mrs. Spadoni had worked 42 years as a bookkeeper for Hixson Lumber Sales.
She considered Robert “Bob” Hixson, Jr. and Walter Hixson brothers.
Robert Hixson, Sr., said when he hired her, he had hired a gem.
She was a member of Matthews Memorial Baptist Church, where she had taught the youth class in Bible study. She enjoyed making handmade crafts with the children. She was also a member of the AARP.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a granddaughter, Lauri Smith.
Survivors include her daughter, Sherri Rhodes (Gary) of the Hardin Community; grandson, Brandon Smith of Sheridan and his fiancée, Michelle Rodgers; sister, Brenda Myhand of Redfield; brothers, Joe Spadoni (Betty) of White Hall, Billy Spadoni (Gail) of Alexander; nephews, Joe Spadoni III, Andrew Spadoni, Brian Myhand, Jerimy Spadoni; nieces, Donna Beckman, Amy Myhand-Peden and Andrea Smith.
She was a special and caring Aunt Bec Bec to her nieces and nephews always spending time with them and never forgetting birthdays and Wonderful Christmas’s.
She was famous for her homemade Italian dishes. She will be missed by her family and leaves a special place in all our hearts.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Friday at Robinson’s.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m., Saturday, April 6, 2013, Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Reverend Mike Poye and Reverend Gene Murdock officiating.
Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery.
The family will be at Joe Spadoni’s home, 1102 Nancy Street, White Hall, AR.
