Paulette Marshall Christmas, 49, of Pine Bluff passed Friday, January 11, 2013. She was born in Pine Bluff, to the late Tommy Lee Marshall and the late Annie Mae (Daniels) Marshall.
She confessed her life to Christ in 1991 under the leadership of Pastor Anthony Craig, Sr. at Mt. Carmel MBC in Pine Bluff and in 2011 she united with New Jerusalem MBC under the leadership of Pastor Frank Harris, Jr.
She attended Dollarway School District, Southeast Arkansas College and worked as a correctional officer at several law enforcement facilities. She enjoyed skating, swimming, and attending church.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Jaylin Nelson and grandparents, Jack and Susie Daniels.
Survivors include sons, Lamond Marshall, Michael Nelson both of Pine Bluff, Mack Nelson, III of Omaha, Neb.; daughter, Kasey Nelson of North Little Rock; brothers, Jimmy Lee Marshall of New Mexico, Floyd Marshall of Arlington, Texas, Thomas E. Marshall of Oahu, Hawaii; sisters, Mary Ann Marshall of Ypsilanti, Mich. and Veda Wright of Lubbock, Texas; godmother, Arzeill Williams of Houston, Texas, special family friends, John and Tracy Pugh of Pine Bluff and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Mt. Carmel MBC by Rev. Anthony Craig, Sr. Burial will be in Forrest Lawn Memorial Garden by Brown Funeral Home of Pine Bluff.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
The body will lie in state at the church from 9:15 a.m. until time of service.
The family will be at 3602 Mobile Drive, Pine Bluff.
