Paul Wayne Bateman, 59, of Pine Bluff, died Monday, January 14, 2013.
Born June 17, 1953 at Red Onion, Ark., he was a son of Genevieve Sackett Bateman and the late Herschel Bateman.
A self-employed roofing contractor,
Paul was the owner/operator of Bateman’s Roofing.
He held a special place in his heart for his employees and co-workers.
As an outdoors man who lived life to the fullest,
Paul loved to hunt and fish, but loved his family most of all.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his siblings,
Michael Bateman, Karen Maxwell and Jennie Bateman; and a son, Jody Harp.
He is survived by his mother, Genevieve Bateman; children, Phillip Bateman (Sherry), Wendie Rushing (Brian), Jamie Harp, Heaven Mayfield, Linda Jo Harp and Gary “Boomer” Mayfield; siblings, Jack Bateman, Gaylon Bateman and Janice Bateman; seven grandchildren, Jacob, Phillip, Ashton, Bentley, Whisper, Azlynn, and Keylan; girlfriend, Donna Bunting; best friend, Jackie Haycox; extra special nieces and nephews; and many other loving family and friends.
A Memorial Gathering will be Friday, 6:00 p.m.
at Fuller Hale-South Funeral Chapel.
