GRANBURY, Texas — Oscar Lee Flynn, Jr., 78, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2013, in Granbury.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Wiley Funeral Home.
Memorial service: 2:00 p.m. Friday at Grace Bible Church in Granbury.
Memorials: American Leukemia Society or Grace Bible Church Missionary Fund.
Mr. Flynn was born Feb. 9, 1935, in Gould, Ark., to Oscar Lee Flynn, Sr. and Pearl Seagraves Flynn. On August 12, 2006, he married Dorothy Faye Durham. He attended the Lanier Military School for Boys in Macon, Ga. in 1953 and joined the Air Force where he served until 1974. While serving in England he attended the Leicester College of Art and Technology in Leicester, England majoring in surveying and leveling. Six months prior to his retirement from the Air Force, he was employed by Glazer’s Wholesale Distributors from which he retired in 2001. He moved to Granbury (DeCordova Bend Estates) in 1994 and was a member of Grace Bible Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, six sisters and two brothers.
Survivors: Wife, Dorothy Flynn of Granbury; children, Camron Flynn and wife, Joanne, Sharon Luck, Ross Flynn and wife, Teri; step-children, Regina Morrison, Ronny Mowrey and wife, Lacy; grandchildren, Garrett Flynn, Whitney Flynn Thompson, Cody Luck, Ashton Flynn and Juston Flynn; step-grandchildren, Cassie Hill, Michael Morrison, Richard Morrison, Ryen Mowrey, Joe Mowrey, step great grandchild, Corban Morrison, Riley.
