ST. JOSEPH, La. — Willie Webb, Jr., 76, expired June 8, 2012. His parents were Willie Webb, Sr. and Rosa A.L. Crawford.
He was reared and educated in St. Joseph, La.
He served in the U.S. Army for several years after returning home he attended Grambling University and Master’s Degree from Southern University. He returned home and taught school and coached until retirement.
He met and married Evelyn Napoleon, who preceded him in death.
He was the father of James, Kimberly, Roderick, Ivan, Heather, Gabrielle and Maria.
He was a member of Greater St. John and a member of La. High School Athletic Assoc., Men of Distinction, Pride of Tensas Masonic Lodge #99, President of the local GSU Alumni and a life time member of the National Alumni Assoc.
He leaves a vacant spot in the hearts of his children: James of New Orleans, La., Kimberly Lawson of Lake Wales, Fla., Roderick, Ivan, and Gabrielle of St. Joseph, Heather (Christopher) Obey of Prariesville, La. and Mario of Baton Rouge; five sisters, Hattie Riley, Lucille Jasper of Pine Bluff, Thelma (Henry) Forte of San Diego, Jackqueline Tyus of Los Angeles, Susie (Bobby) Hampton of Chicago; one brother, Charles (Luisa) Crawford of Pine Bluff; one aunt Winnie D. Jones of Tallulah, La.; caregiver, Willie and Marilyn Bates-Harbor of St. Joseph; 17 grands, six great grand and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
