Pearlie Hendrix


SHERIDAN — Pearlie Geneva Earnest Hendrix, 83, a resident of Sheridan, died Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at St. Joseph Mercy Medical Center in Hot Springs.

Born November 18, 1928, in Grapevine, she was a daughter of Lewis and Hattie Morris Cummings.

Mrs. Hendrix was reared and received her early education in Rison. Pearlie Geneva Cummings married William Calvin Earnest on February 8, 1946, in Rison. Mrs. Hendrix worked producing bags for Hudson Paper Company. She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Sheridan.

Mrs. Hendrix was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, one brother, and two sisters.

Survivors include one daughter, Ann Seabaugh of Hot Springs; one son, Thomas Earnest of East End; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one brother, Buck Cummings of Hot Springs; three sisters, Irene Damron of Benton, LoRece Hart of Pine Bluff, and Berneice Wilkins of Sheridan.

The visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, May 31, 2012, at Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors.

The funeral will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 1, 2012, in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Rev. Terry Williams officiating.

Burial will follow in Moores Church Cemetery near Rison by Ralph Robinson & Son.
