DUMAS — Paul Leon Ashcraft, 76 of Dumas, Ark., was born February 12, 1936 in Dumas, Ark., and was the son of Arthur C. and Ruby Moore Ashcraft. Paul was a Baptist and attended at Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Gould. Paul served in the United States Air Force, was a licensed commercial pilot and a master electrician. Paul was a avid fisherman and enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his grandchildren. Paul departed this life in Little Rock, Arkansas on March 8, 2012. His parents and a brother, Joel Ashcraft preceded him in death.
Survivors are his wife, Ginger Ashcraft of Dumas, Ark., son, Michael Ashcraft of Springfield, Mo., and two daughters, Paula Smith of Dumas, Ark., and Karen Pickens of Pickens, Ark., his brother Gerald Ashcraft of Gould, Ark., aunt Edna Dee Coder of Baton Rouge, La., eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and his best friend his dog, Buddy.
Visitation held 4-6 p.m., Sunday, March 11, 2012 at Griffin Funeral Home Chapel. Services held 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 12, 2012, Griffin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dean Dancer officiating followed by burial in Dark Corner Cemetery.
