Mae Ashcraft

HOT SPRINGS — Mae Ashcraft, of Hot Springs, born in Cleveland County, Ark. on July 22, 1922, daughter of the late Ira L. and Velia (McCoy) Clement. She was reared and educated in Pine Bluff and Watson Chapel and graduated from Watson Chapel High School. She worked several years for South Western Bell Telephone Company. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Hot Springs, and member of John McAlmont Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She married John W. (Bill) Ashcraft August 29, 1946.

Mae was preceded in death by her parents; husband John W. (Bill) Ashcraft; and brother James Clement.

Survivors include one daughter, Luanne Loudon of Hot Springs; granddaughters Allison Blache (Kenneth) and Amy Coontz (Blane); and great-grandchildren, Callen and Brooke Coontz.

Memorials may be made to Brown Cemetery in Pine Bluff, 8431 Hwy 79 South, Pine Bluff, AR 71603 or First United Methodist Church in Hot Springs.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday, March 16, 2012 at First United Methodist Church of Hot Springs in the Chapel.
