Mrs. Lillie Bell McDonley, 88, was born to the late Mary Bearden Davis Crafton, in Pine Bluff, Ark. February 17, 1924.
She accepted Christ at an early age at the Motley Chapel Baptist Church in Pine Bluff,Ark.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John McDonley, Jr.; two sons, Hezekiah Darrough, and Eddie Lee McDonley; two brothers, Walter Davis and Foster Davis; two step-brothers, Ezekiel McBride and Frank McBride Sr.; and a step-sister, Gladys Watts.
Left to cherish her loving memory are four daughters, Jewellene Hart, of Queens, N.Y., Mary (Eddie) McDonley, of Brooklyn, N.Y., Lessie (William) Leniear of Little Rock, Ark. and Georgia (Calvin) Murry of Pine Bluff, Ark.; three sons, John (Joyce) McDonley III and Otis (Sondra) McDonley both of Pine Bluff, Ark. and Curlee (Dorothy) McDonley of Grand Prairie, Texas; two step-daughters, Catherine McDonley Grant, of Far Rockaway, N.Y. and Katherine McDonley of Milwaukee, Wis.; a step-brother, Martin McBride; 26 grandchildren, 25 great grand children; a play daughter, Rosie Lee Davis, of Ladd, Ark. and a sister-in-law Rosie Lee Davis of Pine Bluff.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, April 21, 2012, at the First Baptist Church, 4909 McDonley Road, Pine Bluff, with the Rev. Accie L. Reynolds, Jr. officiating. Interment will be at Mount Lebanon Cemetery with services entrusted to the P.K. Miller Mortuary.
Visitation is from 5-7 p..m. at the mortuary, Friday, April 20, 2012.
Mrs. McDonley will lie in repose at the Church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
