Nelda R. Armstrong, 71, of Pine Bluff, died Wednesday, October 10, 2012, at her home.
Mrs. Armstrong was born November 3, 1940, in Pine Bluff, to the late Basil W. and Edith Steelman Riley. A lifelong resident of Pine Bluff, she was reared and received her education in Pine Bluff, where she graduated from Pine Bluff High School in 1959.
She was a member of Watson Chapel Baptist Church.
Her survivors include her two sons, Wayne (Denise) Armstrong of Mascoutah, Ill., and Michael (Diane) Armstrong of White Hall; two daughters, Loretta Barker of Pine Bluff and Monica Armstrong of Sherrill, Ark.; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Mrs. Armstrong was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John H. Armstrong, whom she married July 2, 1971 and died February 2, 2011; her son, John H. Armstrong, II, a grandson, Lawrence Andrew Worthen; and a brother, Howard Riley.
The family will receive friends Friday, October 12, 2012, 6-8 p.m., at Robinson’s.
Funeral services will be Saturday, October 13, 2012, 1:30 p.m., in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
