HOT SPRINGS — Mrs. Mildred Doss Couch, 99, of Hot Springs, formerly of Pine Bluff, died Sunday, February 17, 2013 in Hot Springs.
She was born September 23, 1913 in Hillman, Arkansas, daughter of Robert and Tamer Exum Doss. Mrs. Couch was reared and received her early education in Hillman and Bay Village, graduating from Bay Village High School. She was a homemaker and active member of Lakeside United Methodist Church in Pine Bluff, where she was a member of the Fellowship Sunday School Class. Mrs. Couch enjoyed knitting, sewing and spoiling her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Couch, whom she married December 8, 1933 in Wynne; her parents; and grandson, Mark Couch. Survivors include her son, Mike Couch of Hot Springs; brother, Ralph Doss of Wynne; and grandson, Scott Couch of Auburn, Ala.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m., Thursday, February 21, 2013 at Lakeside United Methodist Church with Reverend Pam Estes officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery by Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until service time on Thursday afternoon in the Fellowship Hall of Lakeside.
