Linda Joyce Mitchell, 60, of Pine Bluff answered her heavenly call on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at Arkansas Hospice Little Rock. Her husband, the late James Edward Mitchell, her mother, Mildred Carter, her sister, Janice Woodus, and her grandson, Shakhym Pershey preceded her in death. Linda’s memories will remain forever with her daughters, Donna Ramsey of Pine Bluff, Ark. and Luciana (Carlos) Hill of Houston, Texas; her son, Corey (Shona) Mitchell of San Diego, Calif. and stepson, James Jarmon of Little Rock, Ark.; her father, John Carter of Pine Bluff; six sisters; Barbara Jacobs of Helena, Ark., Karen (Coleman) Enright and Regina (Alonzo) Carroll of Pine Bluff, Beverly (Clyde) Winfry of Lebanon, Ill., Sandra (David) Johnson of St. Louis, Mo., Maurecia (Robert) Robinson of Little Rock Ark.; one brother, John Steven (Dorothy) Carter of Pine Bluff; 11 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, a dear aunt, Smiley and dear friends. Funeral Service will be 2:30 p.m., Saturday, July 27, 2013 at Old St. James Baptist Church by Rev. Robert Robinson. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Section of Graceland Cemetery by Brown Funeral Home of Pine Bluff.
Visitation will be Friday from 5-7 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home.
The body will lie in state Saturday at the church from 1:45 p.m. until service time.
The family will be at 3108 Allister Drive, Pine Bluff.
