WESTDALE, LA. — Larry Dean Copeland ( “Deanie” “Banjo”), 57, of Westdale, La. passed away on May 3, 2013 with family at his side.
The visitation will be Tuesday May 7, 2013 from 12:30 p.m.-2:00 p.m. at Ralph Robinson Funeral Home in Pine Bluff, Ark. Immediately following visitation, there will be a memorial service to celebrate Larry’s life. Dr. Richard “Ricky” Lee of First Baptist Church of Sherwood, Ark. will be officiating.
Larry was born in Pine Bluff, Ark. on September 21, 1955 to Floyd and Frances Copeland. Larry was born with Down Syndrome but it did not slow him down. He lived an exciting and fulfilling life. He had a zest for life that others admired. To know Larry was to love him.
Larry loved the Dallas Cowboys, Elvis, “Shorty” (his dog), food, music, and dancing. On any given day, Larry could be found riding his four-wheeler, flipping through sales papers, or watching wrestling on TV. Larry loved spending time with his family.
Larry is survived by Nell and James Humphreys, Shirley (Thompson) and Don Smith, Joyce and JR Lee, Buddy and Sue Copeland, Gerald and Karen Copeland, Ester Copeland and family and friends.
Larry is preceded in death his parents, Floyd and Frances Copeland, brother Leon Copeland, and brother-in-law Jake Thompson.
