JACKSONVILLE — Kenneth Wayne Coburn, age 62, of Jacksonville, died Saturday, April 20, 2013, at Cornerstone Hospital in Jacksonville. Mr. Coburn was born September 4, 1950, in Ruston, Louisiana, a son of the late Buel William and Emma Jean Evans Coburn.
Mr. Coburn was reared and educated in West Monroe, Louisiana. Upon graduating from high school, the following fall enrolled in Louisiana Tech University.
We worked for a short time at Varco and later began working at International Paper Company (now Evergreen Packaging) and worked there forty three years as a machine operator.
He was a member of Watson Chapel Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Adam Dewayne Coburn.
He is survived by his companion and best friend, Sybil Joyce Brakebill; sister, Martha McVay of Redfield; brother Buel Everett Coburn of Pine Bluff; two sons, Chris (Kelly) Coburn of Pine Bluff and Jason (Alisha) Coburn of Rison; grandchildren, Hunter, Heath, Hayley, Logan, Noah and Jonah; great-grandchildren, Aiden and Ayela.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors with Reverend Todd Howard and Reverend Steve Monk officiating.
Burial will follow in Prosperity Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Robinson’s Monday evening from 6-8 p.m..
