Funeral services for Juanita H. Warrior, 64, of Pine Bluff, passed June 12, Well Star Hospital in Douglasville, Ga., will be held Saturday 11 a.m., Mt. Calvary MBC, 600 E. 38th St., Rev. Gregory Gyce officiating.
She was born November 11, 1948 to the late Lucas Hood and Iola C. Johnson. She was raised by her grandmother, Bezettis Conyer. She attended Christ Temple Church where she was baptized. She subsequently became a member of Mt. Calvary MBC with her husband and family. She was educated in Pine Bluff School system attending Merrill High School. She graduated from AM&N/UAPB in 1980 with a Bachelor of Science degree in education. She began working in Pulaski County Special School District in Little Rock, transitioned from there to Grady, Gould Schools and eventually settled in Pine Bluff School District, Belair, Oak Park, Sam Taylor Elementary Schools. She retired from teaching in 2008.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandmother, aunt, grandson, Da’Paul Warrior.
Survivors: Husband of 40 years, Issac Warrior of Pine Bluff, six children, Stanley C. Warrior (Sylvia) (a switch tech in Virginia); daughter, Nadia Mehndigan S. Foster (an attorney in Texas) (husband Ricky), children, Issac, Noah, Bettina L. Womack (Sidney) of Calif., children Eliana, Elijah, Lequita R. Sharrick (an exec Adm. in Georgia) (Rory) children, Taylor Grant, Paige, Markeith D. Warrior (Cyntal) (a phlebotomist in Virginia) children Joshua, DaPaul, Nevach, Steven, Tanika D. Hicks (Jimmy) (electrical engineer) in Georgia, children Jaylen, Michah, Azaria.
She will be missed by her friends, she also leaves behind three sisters, two brothers, many cousins and other relatives. She enjoyed sharing the word of God with anyone. Visitation may be made Friday 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery Cedar Grove. Services by Perry Funeral Home.
