STAR CITY — Mrs. Joy Belle McKinney, 76 of Star City died Sunday at U.A.M.S. in Little Rock. Joy was born in Rye, Arkansas to the late Robert Sterling and Mary Lee Bostian Andrews on leap year, February 29, 1936, making her 19 years of age.
She was a homemaker, co-owner of McKinney Paint and Body Shop in Star City, a member of First Assembly of God Church in Star City, where her Sunday School Children were a very important part of her life and where she was also chosen Mother of the Year for 2012.
Also preceding her in death were a brother, Robert Sterling Andrews and two sisters, Emma Martin and Sally Meek.
Survivors include her husband whom she married December 10, 1953, NA McKinney of Star City, four sons, Dennis McKinney and wife Marti of Silsbee, Texas, Donnie McKinney of Crossett, Nathan Alan McKinney of Star City, Link McKinney of Horn Lake, Mississippi, three daughters, Teresa Reginelli and husband, Paul of White Hall, Karen Stallings and husband Frank of Columbia, South Carolina, Pamela Joy Goulder and husband Steve of Baytown, Texas, and one brother, John Herbert Andrews of Herbine. Other survivors include fourteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.
Services will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday at the First Assembly of God Church in Star City with Bro. Kenny Martin and Bro. Jackie McCool officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at First Assembly of God Church in Star City. Burial will be in Hickory Grove Cemetery near Star City. Pallbearers will be Danny McTigrit, Thomas McGriff, Tim Montgomery, Merwin Fowler, Scotty Holloway and Paul Dreher. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Assembly of God Church, Children’s Ministries, 306 South Jefferson Star City, Ar. 71667.
