STAR CITY — Johnny C. Hillyard, 69, of Star City, died Tuesday at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Little Rock. He was born December 4, 1943 in Star City to the late Raymond and Elvie Prysock Hillyard. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church, member of International Brotherhood of Paperworkers, served on Star City School Board and was retired from International Paper.
Also preceding him in death were a grandson; Jon Carter Butler, two sisters; Darla Ann Hillyard and Betty Bolls, brother; Michael Clark and stepmother; Lee Hillyard.
Survivors include his wife; Barbara Hillyard of Star City, two sons; Joey (Tina) Hillyard of Springdale and Randy (Lindsay) Hillyard of West Fork, two daughters; Diane (Scotty) Holloway and Jonna (Bryan) Butler, both of Star City, three brothers; Richard Hillyard of Jefferson City, Mo., John Hillyard and Joe Clark, both of St. Joe, La., five sisters; Judy Osborn, Darla Arceneaux, Pat Arceneaux, Rita Wellman, all of St. Joe, La., and Doris Clark of Kentucky, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services are 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Griffin Funeral Chapel with Bro. Matthew Watson officiating. Visitation is 7-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Leek Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Louis Walls, Bill Huckaby, Harold Newton, Scotty Holloway, Chris Manes and Gerald Boardman.
