JoEddie Shavers


Mrs. JoEddie Bold Shavers was born January 12, 1937, in Attapulgus, Georgia to the late Jo Henry Bold and Beatrice Johnson Evans.

She attended the public schools in Attapulgus, Georgia.

She joined the Cherry Hill Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorage of the Reverend Ira Robinson.

She quite often worked many part time jobs. The majority of the time, she was a homemaker.

She was predeceased by a brother, C.J. Evans, and two sisters, Leola Tennick and Carrie Murphy; two daughters, Mabeline Shavers and Willie Jean Hayes Lee.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband of 51 years, Ike Shavers, Sr., of Pine Bluff, Ark.; four daughters, Lillie B. Hayes of Independent, Kan., JoAnn Gardner (James), Mary Weathers (Ernie), Bobbie Carter (James), all of Pine Bluff; one son, Ike Shavers, Jr., (Sarah) and a stepson, Anthony Ray Mosby all of Pine Bluff; her sisters, Anna Doris Burke and Mattie Mae Frazier all of Havannah, Fla.; 18 grand children; 15 great-grand-children and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, February 5, 2013, at Cherry Hill Baptist Church with the Reverend David Marks officiating. Burial will be in Forrest Lawn Cemetery by the P.K. Miller Mortuary. Visitation will be held Monday at the mortuary from 5-7 p.m.
