WOODLAWN — Joann Kimbrell Wingard, age 73, of Woodlawn, died Saturday, April 27, 2013.
She was born February 15, 1940 at Woodlawn a daughter of the late Monroe Kimbrell and Pearl Marie Faver Kimbrell. She was reared and educated in the Woodlawn area and was a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church.
First and foremost, she was a homemaker. For a number of years she owned and operated W. and W. Dairy Dip and Videos Galore at Rison. She had also worked as a secretary at Goodyear earlier in her life.
Predeceasing Mrs. Wingard are a sister, Barbara Lucas Tyra; and her son-in-law, Mack Dixon.
Her survivors include her husband, Billy Wingard, whom she married on February 9, 1957; a daughter, Paige Wingard Dixon of Sheridan; a son Todd Wingard of Woodlawn; a brother, Jerry Kimbrell of Woodlawn; five sisters, Joye Hankins and Dina Hankins, both of Glendale, Elnora Talent and Judy Johnson, both of Woodlawn; and Bertie Pickles of Beebe; two grandchildren, Brady Dixon and Alexa Dixon; and an aunt, Neale Faver of Woodlawn.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, 2:00 p.m. at Fuller Hale-South Funeral Chapel. Private interment will be in Friendship Cemetery.
Visitation will precede the service, starting at 1:00 p.m. At other times, the family will be at the home of Lee and Dina Hankins in Glendale.
