CONWAY — Jean Simpson, 86, of Conway, formerly of Pine Bluff, went to be with the Lord Monday, July 15, 2013, in Little Rock.
She was born February 15, 1927 in Forrest City, daughter of Charlie and Eva Lusk Stubbs.
Mrs. Simpson was reared and received her early education in Pine Bluff, graduating from Pine Bluff High School.
She was a librarian for Southwood Elementary School and a Baptist.
Mrs. Simpson was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Franklin Simpson, Sr.; her parents; two brothers, Charlie J. Stubbs and Stewart Stubbs; one sister, Peggy Neuse.
Survivors include children, Gerald “Jerry” F. Simpson, Jr. (Tammy) of Scott, Kenneth Simpson of Redfield, Sharon Lusinger (Tommy) of White Hall; sister, Ellen Dillion (Buddy) of DeWitt; brother, Jerry Stubbs of White Hall; seven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held 10 a.m., Friday, July 19, 2013, at Roselawn Cemetery with Reverend Johnny Brewster officiating. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors.
