Jane Watson, 75, a resident of Pine Bluff, died Friday, May 17, 2013, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
Born September 11, 1937, in Michigan, she was a daughter of Lawrence O. and Ruby Woodrome.
Mrs. Watson was reared and received her early education in Watson Chapel, graduating from Watson Chapel High School. Jane Nellie Woodrome married Virginious Watson on May 21, 1958, in Greenville, Miss. She was a cosmetician for Walgreens for 20 years. She then worked 15 years for the Pine Bluff Parks and Tourism Bureau. Her favorite activity was her adored volunteer work in her community. Many people remember her untiring volunteer efforts. She was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church in Pine Bluff.
Mrs. Watson was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; one son, John Watson; two sisters, Patricia Magnini, and Christine Schaefer.
Survivors include two sons, William Watson of White Hall, and Randall (Amy) Watson of Varner; one daughter-in-law, Cheryl Watson of Bryant; six grandchildren; one brother, Larry Woodrome of Fla.; one sister, Marjorie Smith of White Hall.
The visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2013, in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Reverend James Conn officiating. Burial will follow in Fitzhugh Cemetery by Ralph Robinson & Son.
