STAR CITY — James Hollis Lindsey, 68 of Star City, died Monday, October 8, 2012 at Arkansas Hospice at St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock. He was born September 20, 1944 in Warren to the late Joe and Tonia Hollis Lindsey. He was an Army Veteran that served in the Vietnam War. He loved hunting, farming and gardening. His most favorite activity was taking his great grandson, Alex to the train station in Pine Bluff to watch the trains go back and forth.
Besides his parents, Mr. Lindsey was also preceded in death by one brother; Joe Norrell Lindsey.
Survivors include one daughter, Amy (Gene) Lindsey of Star City; two brothers, Max Raymond (Sarah) Lindsey of Sarah, Miss. and Michael Joe (Alice) Lindsey of Wilmar; two sisters, Loreta Brewster of Marshal, Texas and Phyllis (Robert) Bryant of Benton; one granddaughter, Anna (Aaron) Lindsey of Conway; one grandson, Cody (Kristen) Jarratt of Wilmar, one great-grandson, Alex Moorehead of Conway; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Graveside Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at Prosperity Cemetery near Rison. Bro. Truman Cooper will officiate. Honorary Pallbearers are Jimmy Baugh, James Dew, Royce Lowe, Jessie Lewis and Antonio Walker.
