James Clyde Bradshaw, 92, a resident of Pine Bluff, died Thursday, August 23, 2012, at his home in Pine Bluff.
Born April 10, 1920, in Star City, he was a son of John and Vanie Nugent Bradshaw.
Mr. Bradshaw was reared and received his early education in Linwood. He was a life long farmer and also attended a vocational-technical school to learn carpentry. Mr. Bradshaw was a United States Army veteran of World War II. James Clyde Bradshaw married Joyce “Betty” Stewart on May 23, 1947, in Pine Bluff. After 59 years of marriage “Miss Betty” preceded him in death in 2006. Mr. Bradshaw was a life time member of First Assembly of God Church in Pine Bluff.
Mr. Bradshaw was preceded in death by his parents, his wife; one brother, John Bradshaw, Jr.
Survivors include four nephews, David Johnson, James Stewart, John “Buck” Bradshaw, and James “Pete” Bradshaw all of Pine Bluff; five nieces, Linda Womble of Texarkana, Barbara Wilbanks of Conway, Betty Jo Ezell of Redfield, Sandra Hale of Pine Bluff, and Naomi Williams of Woodlawn; his beloved dog, Daisy. All his nieces and nephews, and their families, loved Uncle Clyde a great deal.
There will be no formal visitation but Mr. Bradshaw will lie in state from 6-8 p.m. Friday, August 24, 2012, at Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors.
Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 25, 2012, in Drake Cemetery near Star City. Reverend Mike Cottrell will officiate and burial will be by Ralph Robinson & Son.
