Homer Pickett, age 93, of Pine Bluff, died Wednesday, April 24, 2013.
He was born January 22, 1920 at Center Ridge, Ark., a son of the late John Pickett and Minnie Harris Pickett. He was a retired truck driver, a member of South Pinewood Baptist Church, and a United States Army Veteran of World War II.
Mr. Pickett was predeceased by his first wife, Beatrice Aycock Pickett; two sons, Donald Pickett and Chester Smith; three brothers; and six sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Neva Crites Daniels, whom he married in 2006; two sons, Richard Pickett and Don Pickett; two daughters, Janet Haro and Frances Fogle; three step-sons, Bruce Daniels, David Daniels, and Greg Daniels; a stepdaughter, Tammy Bradford; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren; five half-brothers, Beal Pickett, James Pickett, John Pickett, Austin Pickett and Wesley Pickett; and two half-sisters, Elizabeth Hughes and Christine Scott.
Graveside services will be Monday, 2 p.m. at Brown Cemetery with Brother Billy Burks officiating. Funeral arrangements are by Fuller Hale-South Funeral Services.
There will be no visitation.
