Glen Hart


ROGERS — Glen Woodford “G.W.” Hart, 77, of Rogers, Ark., formerly of Pine Bluff, passed away Friday, November 30, 2012 at North West Medical Center in Bentonville.

Born June 10, 1935, in Collins, Ark., he was a son of the late Glynn Willis and Frances West Hart. He was reared and received his early education in Collins. He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1952, serving during the Korean War.

G.W. worked as Brakeman, a Conductor and Engineer during his career at Southern Pacific Railroad. He retired in 1982, after 26 years of service.

Mr. Hart was a Mason and a member of First Baptist Church in Springdale, Ark.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Jim Hart.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Betty Jo Hart of Rogers; one daughter, Sondra Clark of Fayetteville; one son, Glen W. Hart, II and his wife, Sandra, of Texarkana, Texas; his grandchildren, Spenser Hart, Jerred Clark, Maegan Clark, Glen W. “Trey” Hart, III and Ethan Hart; his brothers Travis Hart and his wife, Martha, of Grove, Texas and Charles Hart and his wife Sherry, of Pine Bluff, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 3, 2012 in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Rev. Todd Howard officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery.
