Frances Robinson


SHERRILL — Frances Lee Carter Robinson, 81, of Sherrill, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2013.

Born April 10, 1931 at Center Ridge (Conway County), she was a daughter of the late William Carter and Myrtle Thomison Carter Ross.

Mrs. Robinson has been a member of the First Baptist Church at Sherrill for more than half a century. She loved children and has touched many lives over the last 44 years as she worked within the local school district.

She enjoyed cooking for her loved ones, and was especially known for her cinnamon rolls and Christmas candy. Some of her other pastimes included antiquing, ceramics, spoiling grandchildren and trips to Branson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Alford Ross and four siblings, Annie Shivers, Harold Carter, Clarence Carter, and William Carter.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, James “Jake” Robinson; daughter, Beverly McPherson; sons, Ronnie Robinson (Susan), and Steve Robinson (Debbie); siblings, Carolyn Hornbeck and Wayne Ross; four grandchildren, Leslie Hallum (Justin), Bradley Robinson (Brittney), Micah Lock (Jessica), and Stefan McPherson; four great-grandchildren, Emily, Annabeth, Caleb and Carleigh and many other loving family and friends.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, at the First Missionary Baptist Church in Sherrill with Pastor Chris Foster and Randy Cloud officiating. Burial will follow in Mulberry Cemetery at England by Fuller Hale-South Funeral Services.
